We put the happiness and well-being of our pupils at the heart of everything we do. We want every pupil to feel at home in their school; to know they are somewhere with people who care about them and are eager for them to learn. The whole staff team take the time to get to know each child so that they can provide them with the personalised support and care they need and deserve. As the pupils will be with us from age 3-18, we will know their strengths, development needs and areas of interest as they grow up in our community. This all-through approach gives us a unique opportunity to ensure the highest quality personalised support.
The school will be somewhere in which all pupils are treated as individuals and given the tailored care and attention they need to achieve everything they are capable of. Children are placed at the heart of everything we do and the school’s ethos, curriculum and enrichment programme will reflect their interests and needs. We will create numerous opportunities for pupils to express their individuality and to develop their own unique talents.
Success will be shared widely and frequently through assemblies, displays, the website and our rewards systems.
In Primary each class has its own class teacher and learning and teaching assistant. In Secondary pupils are in coaching group of 20 pupils. We believe this allows our staff to really get to know our pupils and care for them in the best way. In addition we have a Family Support Worker who works to build relationships and support children and families across both Primary and Secondary. Our SENDCO also works with children and families across the whole school.
