Guidance for Parents

From Monday 23rd March, the school will be closed until further notice for the overwhelming majority of students.

This is a directive from government and is part of the national strategy to control the spread of COVID-19.

Students will now continue their learning from home. We have developed the learning materials that each student needs to work from home. Links to work packages for all students are available here:

The school will remain open to support the children of critical workers and vulnerable students. This support will be exactly the same as students are receiving from home but will be supervised by staff.

If you are a critical worker and have not yet responded to the email sent to you on Wednesday 18th March to request your child attends school, please do so immediately. Please send an email to

The parents and carers of all vulnerable students have now been contacted by the school to make arrangements for their attendance. If you have not been contacted by the school and believe you should have been, please contact us as soon as possible on the email address above.

Other than those categories of students listed above, no other student will be allowed into the school unless this has been agreed in advance, in writing, with the school.

Information about the arrangements for those who receive free school meals to continue to do will be communicated to parents/carers in the coming days.

We will be sending out regular updates to parents but if you have any urgent questions please contact the school via the secondary office email address. We will endeavour to answer these as quickly as we can but please bear with us at this time.
