Uniform
We believe that wearing a smart uniform fosters a sense of belonging and pride. The Goresbrook School uniform has been designed to be neat, hard-wearing and economical, with most items available from high street shops.

Goresbrook Nursery
In our Nursery, the uniform is the same for boys and girls:
- Goresbrook Nursery white polo t-shirt*
- Goresbrook Nursery navy blue sweatshirt*
- Water bottle*
- A blue summer dress can be work from April-July. In September pupils should revert back to wearing winter uniform and boys may wear smart navy shorts with blue polo t-shirt
- Plain navy tracksuit bottoms, leggings, shorts, plain navy skirts or pinafores are all permitted. These can be purchased on the high street or in supermarkets. No denim.
- Plain black plimsolls or plain black trainers/shoes, preferably with no laces so that children can take them off and change them. No sandals: feet must be completely enclosed.
- No jewellery at all, including earrings.
- No nail polish.
- Coats may be any colour but please ensure they are warm and waterproof.
- A suitable school bag
- Summer and winter hats can be any colour.
- Black school shoes should be worn. In EYFS black trainers are permitted.
Primary phase
Boys:
- Shirt: Plain, white, collared shirt. Long or short sleeved. Tucked in at all times.
- Trousers/shorts: Plain, navy blue, tailored school trousers. Boys may wear smart navy shorts with their shirt and tie from April-July. In September pupils should revert back to wearing winter uniform
- Tie: Goresbrook School tie.
- Jumper: Goresbrook School V-neck jumper.
- Socks: Any socks are permitted.
- Shoes: Plain black school shoes should be worn (not trainers or converse shoes) in Years 1-6. No sandals: feet must be completely enclosed.
- Jewellery: Stud earrings only: no other jewellery permitted, unless worn for religious reasons. Analogue watches may be worn.
- Rucksack: Plain, dark coloured rucksack. This should be brought into school every day. On P.E days, kit should be put in this bag along with books and your water bottle.
- Outdoor clothing: Coats may be any colour but please ensure they are warm and waterproof. All outdoor clothing should be removed in the school buildings.
- Water bottle: Please ensure name is clearly marked.
- Hats: Summer and winter hats can be any colour.
Girls:
- Blouse: Plain, white, collared shirt or blouse suitable for wearing with a tie. Long or short sleeved. Tucked in at all times.
- Trousers: Plain, navy blue, tailored school trousers or shorts OR
- Pinafore dress: Plain, navy blue, tailored pinafore dress with box pleat or straight cut.
- Summer dresses: A blue summer dress can be work from April-July. In September pupils should revert back to wearing winter uniform
- Skirt: Plain, navy blue, knee-length, tailored school skirt.
- Tie: Goresbrook School tie.
- Jumper: Goresbrook School V-neck jumper or navy-blue cardigan.
- Socks and tights: Any socks are permitted. Tights must be plain navy or black.
- Shoes:Plain black school shoes should be worn (not trainers or converse shoes) in Years 1-6. No sandals: feet must be completely enclosed

- Sweatshirt: Navy blue Goresbrook sweatshirt* No hoodies or zipped tracksuits tops.
- Trousers/shorts: Plain, navy blue PE shorts or tracksuit bottoms
- Shoes: Black plimsolls or plain black trainers with black laces and black soles
Other
- No temporary tattoos or henna are allowed.
- No hair dye.
- No sunglasses unless for medical reasons as confirmed in writing by a doctor.
Concessions will be made for children with particular needs at the discretion of the Principal. We are not responsible for lost property or uniform on the premises.
