French

At Goresbrook School, we think learning French is like going on a cool adventure. We want students to not only speak French but also discover the beauty of different cultures. Learning a new language is like learning a secret code, and we practise a lot to make sure students remember how to use it.

When students learn French, they don't just learn words; they also learn important life skills like being strong when things get tough, feeling confident, and being polite when they meet people from other parts of the world. This is especially important because our school is in a place called Barking and Dagenham, where people come from many different backgrounds, and it's great to know how to respect everyone.

By the time students finish their French journey with us, they can have real conversations in French about all sorts of things, not just French things but stuff from all over the world. They also get to explore French movies and books, and they can talk about them like experts. They become really good at talking about big global topics and can share their own thoughts easily. Plus, they learn a lot about the French-speaking world—what's happening now, what happened in the past, where it is, and how people live there. It's like travelling without leaving the classroom!

We want our students to become part of a big world where everyone can share, understand, and appreciate different cultures. This is super important in today's world where people from all over the globe come together, and it helps make the world a better place.
